In each playlist, you can actually make new tabs, or sub-playlists. These tabs can each have unique flow control settings, such as auto-advance or loop.
An example would be you have two sets of graphics in your show: some elements you want to manually trigger, because the exact start and end time are unpredictable. An example might be lower thirds with your guest names, and you are not sure exactly how long each interview will last thus when you will need to trigger the next lower third.
But another set of elements are predictable and you just want to cycle through a few values. For example, you want an upper right bug, that for 5 seconds says the location of where you are, and for another 5 seconds says your social media handle so people can find you on social media.
To build up such a playlist, create two sub-playlist. In one, put all your elements that you will manually trigger, and leave both Auto Advance and Loop off.
In the second, add the elements you want to cycle through, with a duration each. Now set that sub-playlist to loop.
The result is one playlist where some elements are always-on and looping and others are controlled by you!
