Here are a few tips for using the list of supported modems page.
Use The Search
While its possible to just scan down the list of modems, its easier to use the included search function:
This way, while the list is arranged by Manufacturer, you can quickly scan for a specific country or carrier.
What if My Modem, Country or Carrier is Not Listed?
As much as we would love it to be, this list is not complete. If your modem, country or carrier is not listed, there is still a good chance it will work with Solo. See the final section of our article on USB modem support and its challenges for information on how to proceed.
What About Those Version Numbers?
The columns are for different LiveU products, and also marked by our version numbers. Right now you will see two columns for Solo, one for 6.0 and one for 6.5. This will change over time as we release new versions, with the goal of always having the last two major versions listed as columns here. To find your version number, use the joystick and screen on your Solo and go to Unit Info.
What Do the Check Marks Mean?
They key for the check marks is at the top of the chart - green is of course all ok - tested and working in the version marked in that column. Yellow means we worked with that modem in previously versions but have not tested it on the latest versions - its very likely to still work.
A red X means we are sure it does not work in that version. This is much different from not being listed at all, or a yellow check mark - if a modem is not listed or has a yellow check, its likely to work and is worth the test. But a red X means we are sure it does not work in that version - likely, it works in a later version and you need to upgrade your version to support it. If you were not automatically offered the upgrade to a given version, contact support to request the upgrade of your unit.
Can I Help Update This List?
Absolutely, please help! If you find a modem working, not working, or have other information to add, just open a support case here to tell us!
